Outdoors
It's the proximity to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park that has really put Gatlinburg on the map, and missing out on the town's outdoor sights and activities would be quite a shame. Brace for adventure with the Rafting in the Smokies whitewater rafting tour company and visit Ober Gatlinburg Ski Resort for exhilarating fun no matter the time of year. From in town, take a ride along the Gatlinburg Sky Lift or up the Gatlinburg Space Needle for stunning overlooks of the entire region.
Family-Friendly
Virtually every attraction in Gatlinburg is suitable to adults and children alike. Some, like Ripley's Believe It or Not! and the Guiness World Records Museum, are a bit kitschy, but still fun if you can get into it. Others reflect the town's old South atmosphere: Davy Crockett Mini Golf and Dukes of Hazard-inspired Cooter's Place are two such spots.
